First Aid Certification Training Levels

There are two different levels of Online First Aid Certification Training Courses. Each of these online courses covers various life-saving topics.

Emergency First Aid & CPR/AED Level C

This is the shortest First Aid Course, usually recommended to people who work in a low-hazard environment where there are few people present. An emergency first aid skill teaches the basic skills required in an emergency, including CPR & AED Training. After completing and passing the training course, you will receive a certification that will remain valid for 3 years.

Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C

People who work in high-hazard environments, including construction sites, factories, etc., are required to complete this course. The course offers an in-depth understanding of first aid treatment and will either include CPR/AED Level A or Level C Certification.

The Standard Level C Certification Course covers all of the material in an Emergency First Aid Training Course but will include additional topics. These include environmental illness, poisons, and more! During the course, first aiders are taught to deal with:

  • Readiness to Respond any Emergency
  • Victims of Choking
  • Injuries on Spine, Neck, and Head
  • All Circulation Emergencies – Heart Attacks, Strokes, and Victims with Excessive Bleeding
  • Assist Someone with Joint, Bone, or Muscle Injury
  • Dealing with Animal Bites and Stings
  • Environmental Emergencies Caused by Weather Extremes
  • Asthma and Anaphylaxis Emergencies Where the Patient Struggle to Breathe

Standard First Aid and CPR level A

This Certification usually takes 13 to 14 hours to complete over two days. It lasts for three years, and the recertification course takes approximately seven hours. After your completion of this course, you can offer first aid to victims of any emergency but will not have the experience in applying AED/CPR to children and infants.

This is the ideal certification if you require standard First Aid Training for your workplace or want to stay prepared to deal with every adult emergency.

Standard First Aid and CPR level C

This is usually a two-day course and lasts an hour longer than the CPR Level A Certification. In this Online First Aid Certification, your certification stays valid for three years, after which you must complete an eight hour recertification course.

After the completion of this course, you are prepared to deal with any emergency, whether it involves a child, infant, and adult.
